Time Management and Restriction

Probably the most important feature of SentryPC is its time management and restriction abilities.  Every game, program, website, etc can be configured with time management.  This allows you to specify what hours, during what days, the user can access your restricted settings.  Furthermore, you can also set a total weekly time allowance, which when reached, will prevent further use until next week.

  SentryPC allows you to block computer usage completely during the hours you specify for each user, for each day of the week.  You may also set a total weekly time allowance which, when reached, will block usage until the following week.  Daily time limits are also available as well.
• Temporary Full Access
  If a user has been blocked you have the ability to grant them temporary full access.  This is useful if a user does need access, but is being blocked at the moment.

Content Filtering Features

SentryPC has an extremely powerful filtering engine built-in to the software.  With it you can choose a daily schedule of 'allowable' times for virtually any program, game, website, or even the computer or Internet itself.  This lets you specify at what specific times they can be accessed by that specific user.  You can even enter a weekly 'total allowance' to prevent extensive use of certain activities over the course of the week - such as using Facebook, MySpace, or even playing a certain game.

  Filter any application or game by selecting what specific hours on what specific days it can be accessed by the user.  You may also set a weekly total allowance for each rule as well.

  Filter all popular chat and instant message applications such as AOL, AIM, AIM Express, AOL Chat, Yahoo, ICQ, MSN, Excite, Trillian, GoogleTalk, Skype, Xfire, Mirc, and Odigo for each user.  Choose what specifc hours on what days along with a total allowance for the week.

  This feature allows you to enter specific words or phrases that you do not wish to allow.  For instance, enter your childs name, address, phone number, etc - whenever these are typed on the keyboard SentryPC will immediately close whatever window they were typed in.  This prevents information you deem confidential cannot by shared with others through email, websites, social network, anything!

  Filter specific websites by selecting what hours on what days they can be accessed only with a total weekly allowance.  For instance, 'Joe' can only use Facebook M-F from 4pm to 6pm.  Optionally, you can also block ALL websites except those you specify in the settings.
• User Notification
  If you wish you can alert users of the computer that SentryPC has blocked them through a 'splash window popup'.  This is optional and can be turned on/off in the settings.

Activity Monitoring Features

SentryPC will record also monitor and records important information for all users of the computer.  You will be presented with easy to read reports of keystroke typed, windows opened, applications / games used, websites accessed, instant messages, and chat conversations.

Each activity in these reports includes the exact time, date, and duration of the activity.  For example, you can see 'Joe' used Facebook at 11pm on Saturday for one hour 13 minutes.  This goes for all activities that are monitored and recorded.

  All keystroke typed are recorded along with application name they were typed in.  Remember, all keystrokes typed are recorded.  This includes chats, messages, wall posts, searches, etc on popular social networking sites like Facebook as well as many others.  Anything that is typed will be recorded.

  View all events users performed in chronological order - the Events Timeline lets see what events the user performed in the exact order they did them.  Events logged include program starts / stops, website visits, filtering events, window viewings, and more.
• Application Usage Logging [view screenshot]
  Log every application a user runs as well as how long they actually interact with the application.  This is useful to determine if they are using an application or it is just running in the background not being used.

  Log all AOL, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN Messenger chat conversations made by users of your computer.

  All websites accessed and online searches made by the user are recorded along with the website address and duration of the visit.  SentryPC supports the latest versions of the following web-browsers : Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla, Firefox, Flock, and America Online.

Security Features

Additional security features are also included with SentryPC as listed below.  You are the only one with access to SentryPC, its logs, and its settings.  SentryPC cannot be shutdown or tampered with by anyone without the proper access to do so.

• Optional Stealth Mode
  If you wish, you can set SentryPC to run in a completely invisible fashion - it will not appear to the users of the computer in any way.
• Log file Encryption
  All log files can be encrypted for additional protection.  This ensures that they cannot be viewed in any form without the proper access to do so.
